Summary
This study aims to find out which of two common wound dressings works better for preventing infection and promoting healing after a traumatic injury. Researchers will compare a chlorhexidine-impregnated gauze with a dry povidone-iodine dressing. The trial will enroll 176 adults with recent, clean traumatic wounds to see which dressing leads to better outcomes.
