Summary

This study aims to find out if women need different amounts of the essential nutrient leucine during different phases of their menstrual cycle. Current dietary guidelines for this protein building block are based on research in men. Researchers will use a safe, non-invasive breath test method with 13 healthy young women to measure their needs during two specific cycle phases.
