Step on it: bathroom scale may detect hidden heart risks
NCT ID NCT05823025
First seen Feb 19, 2026 · Last updated May 11, 2026 · Updated 9 times
Summary
This study checks if special Withings bathroom scales can accurately measure pulse wave velocity (PWV), a sign of how stiff your blood vessels are. About 176 adults, including those with high blood pressure or lung conditions, will step on the scale to see if its readings match medical-grade equipment. The goal is to see if a simple scale could help spot vascular stiffness at home.
