First seen Feb 23, 2026 · Last updated May 14, 2026 · Updated 8 times
Summary
This study tested how well a Withings device and its app can automatically detect atrial fibrillation (AFib), a common heart rhythm problem. 373 adults aged 22 and older used the device, and its readings were compared to a standard 12-lead ECG. The goal was to see how sensitive and specific the device is at correctly identifying AFib.
