First seen Jan 07, 2026 · Last updated May 21, 2026 · Updated 23 times
Summary
This study looks at two types of surgery to prevent ovarian cancer in women with certain gene mutations (like BRCA). One surgery removes both ovaries and fallopian tubes, while the other removes only the fallopian tubes first and delays ovary removal. The goal is to see which approach better prevents cancer while also protecting sexual function and emotional well-being. About 374 premenopausal women aged 30-50 are taking part.
