Could less dialysis be better for kidney recovery?
NCT ID NCT07447791
First seen Mar 10, 2026 · Last updated Apr 30, 2026 · Updated 5 times
Summary
This study looks at whether a lower dose of dialysis (kidney replacement therapy) is as safe and effective as the standard dose for critically ill patients with acute kidney injury. About 20 adults in the ICU will be randomly assigned to receive either the usual or a lower dialysis dose. The goal is to see if the lower dose helps kidneys recover faster and to gather information for a larger future study.
