Steroid shot tested to ease agony of wisdom tooth removal
NCT ID NCT07297264
Summary
This study tested if a steroid injection near the wisdom tooth could reduce common recovery problems like pain, swelling, and difficulty opening the mouth after surgery. It involved 40 healthy adults who had both lower wisdom teeth removed. Each patient received the real steroid injection for one tooth and a placebo saline injection for the other, so researchers could compare the difference.
