Dentists test gentler way to pull wisdom teeth
NCT ID NCT07247929
Summary
This study is testing two different surgical methods for removing partially impacted lower wisdom teeth. Researchers want to see if a 'flapless' technique (which avoids lifting the gum) causes less pain and facial swelling the day after surgery compared to the traditional 'flap' method. They will measure pain and swelling in 160 participants to find which approach is more comfortable for patients.
