Summary
This completed study tested a new wireless electrode system, called ASTERISK, for controlling prosthetic hands in people with below-elbow amputations. Four current prosthetic hand users tried both the wireless system and a standard wired setup for one month each. The goal was to see if the wireless system improved comfort and satisfaction.
