Hospitals test 'Smart' monitoring to stop patient crises before they happen
NCT ID NCT06644599
Summary
This large study is testing whether using a wireless monitoring system on regular hospital wards can help catch patients who are getting worse, sooner. It aims to see if this technology can reduce deaths and serious events like cardiac arrest or the need for emergency breathing support. Over 13,000 adult patients across many hospital wards will be part of the test, with the system being introduced in stages to different areas.
