First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 20, 2026 · Updated 32 times

Summary

This study tests whether a daily tea made from wild blackberry root extract can improve thyroid health in people with Graves' disease, an autoimmune condition. About 42 adults with a new diagnosis or relapse will drink either the blackberry tea or a placebo tea for 8 weeks while continuing their usual treatment. Researchers will measure changes in thyroid hormones, autoimmune markers, and thyroid structure via ultrasound.
