First seen Jan 16, 2026 · Last updated Apr 30, 2026 · Updated 14 times
Summary
This study tests two treatments—whole-body vibration and electrical muscle stimulation—to help people in the intensive care unit (ICU) recover from muscle weakness. Sixty adult ICU patients will receive one of the two therapies twice daily for two weeks, alongside standard care. Researchers will measure muscle strength and thickness before and after treatment to see which approach works better.
