Can new birth care guidelines make labor less traumatic?

NCT ID NCT06691854

Summary

This study tested whether following World Health Organization (WHO) recommendations for labor and delivery care improves how women feel about their birth experience. Researchers compared 124 first-time mothers, giving half the WHO-based care model and half standard hospital care. They measured women's sense of respectful treatment, overall birth experience, and feelings of trauma.
