Simple tools tested to calm nerves before surgery
NCT ID NCT07276594
Summary
This study looked at whether using white noise or squeezing a stress ball during a routine fetal heart rate test could help reduce anxiety and fear in pregnant women scheduled for a planned cesarean section. Researchers worked with 168 women, dividing them into groups to test the different calming methods. The goal was to see if these simple, non-invasive tools could improve the mothers' emotional well-being before their surgery.
