Gentle touch and a simple cover could speed up jaundice treatment for babies
NCT ID NCT06209489
Summary
This study looked at whether two simple additions could make light therapy for newborn jaundice work better and faster. Researchers tested if placing a white cover over the baby's incubator and giving the baby a gentle massage during treatment would help lower bilirubin levels more quickly. The goal was to see if these safe, non-drug methods could reduce the time babies need under the special lights.
