20-Year whiplash study: which treatment offers better pain relief?
NCT ID NCT07535515
First seen Apr 23, 2026 · Last updated Apr 24, 2026 · Updated 1 time
Summary
This study looked back at 20 years of medical records from 170 adults with chronic neck pain after a whiplash injury. It compared two treatments: a nerve-blocking procedure called radiofrequency and a neck surgery called ACDF. The goal was to see which one provided better pain relief and helped people return to daily life. No new treatments were given; researchers simply analyzed existing data.
