Summary
This study tested whether smart text messages that help families schedule well-child visits can improve checkup rates for children on Medicaid. Over 2,800 kids were split into three groups: one got usual mailed reminders, another got automated texts, and a third got texts plus AI that could book appointments directly. The goal was to see if removing scheduling barriers works better than reminders alone.
