Weighted blankets tested for brain injury agitation

NCT ID NCT04860973

First seen Mar 17, 2026 · Last updated Apr 28, 2026 · Updated 2 times

Summary

This study looked at whether weighted blankets can reduce agitation and improve sleep in people recovering from a brain injury. It was a small trial with 10 adults in a UK rehabilitation unit. The main goal was to see if such a study is possible in an NHS setting, not to prove the blankets work. The study was terminated early.
