Can lifting weights lower your blood pressure? study seeks answers for older women
NCT ID NCT06845514
Summary
This study aims to find out which type of weight training is better for lowering blood pressure in older women. Researchers will compare lifting lighter weights (50% of max) versus heavier weights (80% of max), both done with high effort, to see which has a greater effect on blood pressure after exercise and over 24 hours. The study will involve 36 inactive women aged 50-70 who have normal-high or stage 1 high blood pressure.
