New program aims to shield teens from the harm of weight stigma
NCT ID NCT06389656
Summary
This small study tested a 20-week program designed to help teenagers with high weight cope with the negative feelings that come from weight stigma and bullying. The main goal was to see if the combined program—which included mental health support for internalized bias and coaching on healthy habits—was practical and acceptable to teens. Researchers worked with 17 adolescents to gather their feedback on the program's design and feasibility.
