Does weight loss surgery worsen heartburn? new study investigates
NCT ID NCT06835933
Summary
This study aims to understand how heartburn and acid reflux symptoms change after a common weight loss surgery called laparoscopic sleeve gastrectomy. Researchers are looking back at the medical records of 64 patients to see if their symptoms got better or worse in the year after surgery, and whether this was linked to having symptoms before the operation. The goal is to gather knowledge to help doctors better advise future patients about this potential side effect.
