Ozempic for babies? Weight-Loss shots tested to boost male fertility
NCT ID NCT07179120
Summary
This study is testing if popular weight-loss drugs (semaglutide/Ozempic and tirzepatide/Mounjaro) can improve fertility in obese men. About 180 married men, aged 20-45 with obesity-related infertility, will receive either lifestyle advice alone or weekly injections of one of the drugs for 24 weeks. Researchers will measure changes in sperm quality, hormone levels, weight, and whether their partners achieve natural pregnancy.
