Does shedding pounds ease back pain? new study investigates
NCT ID NCT04893954
Summary
This study aims to understand how major weight loss after bariatric surgery affects the spine and back pain in obese patients. Researchers will follow 80 patients for over a year, using questionnaires, X-rays, and MRI scans to measure changes in pain, spinal alignment, and fat deposits around the spine. The goal is to learn why some people still have back pain after losing a lot of weight.
