NCT ID NCT03970603
First seen Nov 12, 2025 · Last updated May 15, 2026 · Updated 22 times
Summary
This study looked at whether people with a certain type of ankle fracture can safely start putting weight on their foot 2 weeks after surgery, instead of waiting the usual 6 weeks. Forty adults were split into two groups: one started walking at 2 weeks, the other at 6 weeks. The goal was to see if early weight-bearing leads to similar healing and fewer complications.
