Scientists use body sensors to track stair safety for patients

NCT ID NCT06999850

Summary

This study aims to create and test a new assessment using wearable sensors to measure how people climb and descend stairs. Researchers will compare the stair-climbing performance of healthy volunteers with that of people who have conditions like cerebral palsy, Parkinson's, or have had a stroke or amputation. The goal is to develop an objective tool that could help doctors better understand a patient's mobility and fall risk during daily activities.
