Ring vs. Doctor's office: new trial tests comfortable way to tame high blood pressure
NCT ID NCT07465549
Summary
This study is testing if using a comfortable, ring-like device that continuously monitors blood pressure helps doctors manage high blood pressure better than the usual method of checking it during office visits. About 400 adults in Korea whose blood pressure is still high despite medication will be randomly assigned to have their treatment guided by the ring device or by standard office measurements. The main goal is to see which group has better 24-hour blood pressure control after 24 weeks.
