Smart wristbands may catch Post-Surgery infections early
NCT ID NCT07334925
First seen Jan 12, 2026 · Last updated Jun 15, 2026 · Updated 22 times
Summary
This study reviewed past research to see if wearable wristbands that track inflammation markers (like white blood cell counts and C-reactive protein) can help detect infections early in patients after eye, bone, or general surgery. Researchers analyzed data from 1,284 adults and also looked at whether artificial intelligence could improve detection. The goal was to understand how accurate and useful these devices might be for routine post-surgery care.
