Simple water boost tested to combat frailty in elderly
NCT ID NCT06497426
Summary
This small study tested whether increasing daily water intake could help slow muscle loss and weakness in older adults living in nursing homes. Researchers compared a group that drank a specific amount of water each day for a week to a group that drank their usual amount. They measured changes in muscle mass, strength, and body chemistry to see if more water made a difference.
