Liver cancer remission: is surgery still needed after a complete response?
NCT ID NCT05349331
First seen Jan 17, 2026 · Last updated Jun 05, 2026 · Updated 20 times
Summary
This study looked at 74 people with liver cancer whose tumors shrank completely after non-surgical treatments like chemoembolization, targeted therapy, and immunotherapy. The goal was to see if having surgery to remove any remaining tumor is better than simply watching and waiting. The results help doctors decide the best next step for patients who achieve a complete response.
