Sewage signals: can wastewater warnings boost vaccination rates?

NCT ID NCT06698497

Summary

This study tested if sharing local COVID-19 data from wastewater testing could encourage more people to get vaccinated. Researchers ran a communications campaign in 40 New York counties, comparing vaccination rates in counties that received the campaign to those that did not. The goal was to see if providing community-specific risk information would motivate people to get their COVID-19 shots.
