8,000 teens test new driving training to prevent crashes

Summary
This study tests whether hazard perception and attention maintenance training can reduce crashes and near-crashes among teen drivers. About 8,000 participants from a Washington State driving school are randomly assigned to receive either the special training or standard vehicle maintenance training. Researchers will compare crash rates and driving events between groups to see if the training improves safety.
