New study tests blood plasma injections for chronic skin condition
NCT ID NCT07240389
Summary
This study aims to find the best treatment for vulvar lichen sclerosus, a chronic skin condition that causes itching, pain, and scarring. It will compare three approaches: a strong steroid cream, a non-steroid cream, and injections made from the patient's own blood (platelet-rich plasma). Researchers will enroll 45 women to see which treatment most improves symptoms and quality of life over six months.
