Summary
This study tests a drink containing special viruses (phages) that attack VRE bacteria, which are resistant to many antibiotics. The goal is to safely lower the amount of VRE in the gut of healthy people and those carrying the bacteria. About 80 adults will receive either the phage cocktail or a placebo to check safety and effectiveness.
