Virtual reality tested as pain relief alternative after joint surgery

NCT ID NCT07354542

Summary

This study tests whether virtual reality relaxation works better than traditional relaxation exercises for reducing pain and improving sleep after hip or knee replacement surgery. Researchers will compare two groups of patients—one using VR headsets and one doing standard relaxation techniques—to see which approach helps more during recovery. The goal is to find new ways to help people recover more comfortably from common joint surgeries.
