VR goggles could replace sedation drugs in common vein procedure
NCT ID NCT06228365
Summary
This study is testing whether using a virtual reality headset can manage pain as well as traditional sedative drugs during a common outpatient procedure for varicose veins. Researchers will compare pain levels in 400 patients, with half using VR and half receiving standard sedation. The goal is to see if this immersive distraction technique can reduce the need for medication while keeping patients comfortable.
