VR goggles tested as alternative to laughing gas for kids at the dentist

NCT ID NCT05890898

Summary

This study tested whether using virtual reality (VR) goggles is as effective as standard nitrous oxide (laughing gas) for reducing pain and anxiety in children during dental procedures. It involved 62 children aged 4 to 12, each trying both methods across two dental visits. The goal was to see if a simple, drug-free distraction could work as well as the common sedative gas.
