Screen time to the rescue: VR goggles battle Kids' dental fear
NCT ID NCT07398105
Summary
This study tested whether wearing virtual reality (VR) or mixed reality (MR) headsets could help children feel less anxious and experience less pain during dental injections. Researchers compared the two technologies in 142 healthy children, aged 6 to 12, who needed a numbing shot for dental work. The goal was to see which type of immersive distraction worked better to calm kids and improve their dental visit.
