Doctors train for trauma in virtual reality

NCT ID NCT06445764

Summary

This study was designed to see if using virtual reality (VR) headsets helps new emergency room doctors learn critical life-saving skills for trauma patients faster than standard computer-based training. It planned to compare two groups of first-year residents: one learning with VR software and the other with an e-learning course. The main goal was to measure if VR training led to quicker decision-making in simulated emergencies.
