NCT ID NCT07042022
First seen Jan 11, 2026 · Last updated Jun 11, 2026 · Updated 27 times
Summary
This study tested a new virtual reality (VR) system designed to slow the worsening of nearsightedness (myopia) in children. 116 kids aged 6 to 12 with mild to moderate myopia used the VR training, which creates special visual signals to stop the eye from growing too long. The goal was to see if this fun, non-contact method is safe and effective for managing myopia, without the risks of contact lenses or the need for constant glasses wear.
