Nursing students train with VR headsets to master critical patient care skill
NCT ID NCT06724003
Summary
This study tested whether learning with a computer-based virtual reality (VR) simulation is better than using a traditional practice manikin for teaching nursing students how to provide oral care to unconscious patients. Researchers worked with 68 first-year nursing students in Turkey, splitting them into two groups to compare the two training methods. The main goal was to see which method improved the students' knowledge, confidence, and satisfaction with their learning the most.
