Midwives train in virtual reality for safer childbirth

NCT ID NCT07235800

Summary

This study aims to see if virtual reality (VR) training helps midwifery students learn a specific childbirth procedure called an episiotomy better than traditional practice on mannequins. Researchers will compare the skills and confidence of 87 students split into two groups: one using VR headsets and the other using standard models. The goal is to find out if this new technology could be a useful teaching tool for future midwives.
