Virtual reality goggles aim to ease pain and fear after back surgery
NCT ID NCT07231562
Summary
This study will test if a special training program before back surgery helps patients recover better. Patients will either watch a video using VR goggles and read a brochure about moving after surgery, or receive only the hospital's usual care. Researchers will measure if the training reduces post-surgery pain, anxiety, fear of movement, and fear of falling, and helps patients move more easily.
