Doctors use VR to practice difficult back pain injections

NCT ID NCT06643572

Summary

This study tested whether training doctors with a virtual reality (VR) simulator could improve a specific type of spinal injection for lower back and leg pain. Doctors practiced the procedure in VR using the patient's own CT scans before performing the real injection. The goal was to see if this training made the procedure faster, safer, and more successful for patients who were expected to be difficult to treat.
