VR headsets may rewire brains to heal injured hands faster

NCT ID NCT07408622

Summary

This study tests whether a virtual reality (VR) brain training program can help people recover better from wrist and hand injuries that require a cast. While wearing a cast, participants watch videos of hand movements through VR goggles and then practice those movements. Researchers want to see if this early brain-focused therapy leads to less pain, better movement, and faster recovery compared to standard rehabilitation that starts after the cast comes off.
