Brain-Controlled VR: a new hope for taming schizophrenia voices?

NCT ID NCT06628323

Summary

This small pilot study is testing a new therapy that combines virtual reality (VR) with real-time brainwave feedback to help people with schizophrenia manage distressing auditory hallucinations (hearing voices). Researchers want to see if this combined approach is practical, acceptable to patients, and shows signs of being more helpful than VR therapy alone. The study will involve 30 participants who will receive 8 therapy sessions and be assessed over 12 weeks.
