VR headsets tested as new treatment for IBS pain
NCT ID NCT06687616
Summary
This study tested whether a virtual reality (VR) therapy program could help people with irritable bowel syndrome (IBS). 73 participants with IBS were randomly assigned to try either an 8-week VR therapy program or a fake VR program. Researchers measured changes in abdominal pain and quality of life to see if the VR therapy was helpful and practical to use.
