Virtual reality gets a confidence boost to conquer fear of heights
NCT ID NCT05824884
Summary
This study is testing whether adding specific confidence-building techniques during and after a brief virtual reality (VR) exposure session can improve outcomes for people with a fear of heights. Researchers will compare different combinations of visual feedback during the VR session and confidence exercises after the session to see which best reduces fear and avoidance. The goal is to make a short VR therapy more effective by strengthening a person's belief in their ability to handle height-related situations.
