Summary
This study tested whether combining cognitive behavioral therapy with virtual reality could help athletes overcome psychological barriers after ACL knee surgery. Researchers worked with 60 professional athletes to see if this approach could reduce fear of re-injury, improve confidence, and support better rehabilitation. The goal was to help athletes feel mentally ready to return to their sport.
