Researchers test VR headsets to predict falls in seniors

NCT ID NCT07362212

Summary

This study aims to see if virtual reality (VR) versions of standard mobility tests are as accurate and reliable as the real-world tests doctors use. Researchers will have 70 older adults perform walking and sitting/standing tests both in VR and in person to compare the results. The goal is to determine if VR could provide a safe, repeatable, and accessible way to assess balance and fall risk in the future.
