Virtual vacations tested to fight caregiver burnout and senior loneliness
NCT ID NCT07160673
Summary
This study is testing whether using virtual reality (VR) for relaxation can help reduce stress, loneliness, and depression in people who care for older adults and in the homebound seniors themselves. Participants will be randomly assigned to try VR sessions, watch relaxing videos, or continue with their usual care. Researchers will measure changes in mood, happiness, and quality of life over four weeks and again three months later.
